The 8th Gruber-Soedigdo Lecture 2025
The Gruber-Soedigdo Lecture (GSL) is an event organized by the Biochemistry and Biomolecular Engineering Division (KK Biokimia dan Rekayasa Biomolekul), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institut Teknologi Bandung (FMIPA ITB) in collaboration with the Dutch Gruber Foundation. Since the first event in 2006, KK Biochemistry has held seven (7) GSL activities with various interesting themes attended annually by around 200 academics, researchers, and industry practitioners.
This year, we are proud to present The 8th Gruber-Soedigdo Lecture (GSL) 2025, which will be conducted on Thursday, 30 October 2025 at Multipurpose Hall CRCS 3rd floor, ITB Ganesha campus, Bandung. The theme for this year event is “Biomaterial and Biomolecular Engineering for Health, Environment, Food, and Bio-Based Industries”. We hope that this event could promote the advances of biochemistry field in Indonesia, with emphasis on creating innovations in medicine (health), environment, food, and bio-based industries.

With oral presentations and poster sessions, a wide variation of participants’ background (i.e., medicine, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, environmental science, food chemistry, bio-based industries, etc) is expected to broaden the horizon, generate meaningful ideas together, and nourish collaborations between related fields. We are looking forward to hosting all GSL participants at ITB.

The 8th GSL 2025 will be held in conjunction with Biochemistry Workshops
on Friday–Saturday, 31 October–1 November 2025
at the Chemistry Building, ITB Ganesha Campus, Bandung
Each participant can select one of the following workshop topics:
Option 1. Advances in Proteomics: Techniques, Applications, and Data Analysis
Option 2. Genomic Mining for Enzyme Discovery
